Doyle Lee King, age 89 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018.  He was born July 26, 1929 in Winnsboro, Texas to parents Jesse and Corine King who preceded him in death along with his wife, Mary Ellen Darcy King; 6 brothers and 1 sister.

Doyle was an avid hunter and fisherman who played the steel guitar and loved to watch western movies.  

Survivors include his daughters, Paula Dowdell, Pamela Roberts and husband Jesse; sister, Lajanna Haglar; grandchildren, Eddie Tucker and wife Lee Ann, Keith Dowdell and wife Valorie, Chris Roberts and wife Christine, and Curtis Roberts; great-grandchildren, Andy, James and wife Angela, Mason, Eian and wife Whitney, Josh, Baylee, Chelsey, Kaitlin, Colby, Savannah, Kayla, Ellie Mae, and Mary; great-great-grandchild, Taylor Alyse; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with J. Andrew Rice officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
