Shannon Lamar Nelson, age 54 of Onalaska, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018.  He was born November 19, 1963 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Linda and Jay Nelson who preceded him in death along with his grandparents, Doris and Jack Nelson.

Survivors include his significant other, Leslie Slatton; daughter, Cortney Dykes and husband Garrett; brother, Sean Nelson and wife Wanda; sister, Heather Nelson; nieces, Sarah Nelson, Meagan Brandon and Samantha Ling; nephew, Ethan Ling; numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with a memorial service starting at 2:00 p.m.
