Marilyn Helene Fisher, age 86 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018.  She was born June 8, 1932 in Newark, New Jersey to parents Edward Ludvig and Alice Katherine Arndt who preceded her in death along with her husband, James Fisher; and daughter, Kathy Gilbert.

 

Marilyn enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She had a wonderous love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fisher collected crystal, Lenox china and lighthouses. Marilyn attended Cranford College. She was employed as a dental assistant and was also a stewardess for Capitol Airlines, but most of all she loved being a devoted wife and mother. She was a member and worthy advisor to the Rainbow Girls and a flag bearer of Eastern Star.

 

Survivors include her son, Jim Fisher and wife Mary; daughter, Janet Loucks and husband Jeff; son-in-law, Craig Gilbert; brother, Ed Arndt and wife Jean; grandchildren, Amanda Montgomery and husband Bryan, Tim Fisher, James Loucks and wife Jennifer, Sara Munce and husband Addison, Megan Jamieson and husband Patrick, Kevin Gilbert, Emily Loucks and Brian Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Kyle, Vivian and Calvin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.
