Judy Maudine Shaw, age 72 of Eagle Rock, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019.  She was born November 15, 1946 in Galveston, Texas to parents Joseph William Coffield and Nora Carr Sweeten who preceded her in death along with her son, Gordon E. Shaw; stepfather, Emmitt Sweeten; grandmother, Maudie Rutherford; and brother, Calvin Sweeten.

 

Judy attended Cleveland High School and graduated from Southwest Business University.  She retired from the medical field as the Director of Medical Staff Services at Northeast Medical Center in Humble, Texas after 35 years.  She loved spending time with her dog of 18 plus years, Prince, as well as sewing and quilting.  Judy was an accomplished quilter, and taught the art of quilting at the Barry County Regional Library in Eagle Rock, Missouri.  She was married to her loving husband, William Shaw, for 56 years.

 

Survivors include her husband, William G. Shaw; sister, Karen Whatley; brothers, Levearl Sweeten, John Sweeten and Jerry Sweeten; grandchildren, Cody E. Shaw, Casey J. Shaw, and Timothy William Shaw; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Elizabeth Shaw, Kadence Faith Shaw and Eli Gordon Shaw; sisters-in-law, Delores Washington and LaEdra Box; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas officiated by Rev. John Sweeten. Interment will follow at Morgan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
