Jimmie Ray Covington, age 61 of League City, Texas, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019.  He was born December 26, 1957 in Baytown, Texas to parents Lee Andrew and Louise Katherine Covington who preceded him in death along with his brother, Johnny Covington; and sister, Rannie Reynolds.

Jimmie was a man of many interests. He liked to read and travel and loved to eat. Jimmie especially loved being out on the open road on his Harley. Mr. Covington was a hard worker. Above all else his family was the most important thing in his life.

Survivors include his wife, Reginia Covington; daughter, Teresa Reed (Covington) and husband Aaron; sons, Tony Covington and wife Tisha, and Jimmie Wayne Covington; sisters, Sue Oncale (Covington) and husband Randy, Pat Brookshire (Covington), and Cookie Roddey (Covington); brothers, Carl Covington, and Andy Covington and wife Bridgett; grandchildren, Justin Covington, Aaron Covington, Alexandra Reed, Micah Reed, Raine Covington and Gavin; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
