Bertha Marie Andel – Lathrop passed away peacefully at home at the age of 100 on Friday, February 2, 2018, in Cypress, Texas surrounded by her family. Bertha is survived by her husband of 69 years, Ray W. Lathrop, daughters Betty Kelly of Cypress, Texas and Kathy Tutko of New Caney, Texas. Bertha also leaves behind five grandchildren, eight great - grandchildren and one great - great - grandson. Our most sincere appreciation goes out to our neighbor and retired nurse Janie Jewell as well as the team at A*Med Community Hospice for their endless support. Church services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 and interment will be at Bear Creek Baptist Church and cemetery located at 10001 FM 1725, Cleveland, Texas 77328. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Bear Creek Baptist Church.
