Elaine Wilson-McHenry, nee Walsh, born in Detroit, Michigan, December 1, 1937, raised in Florida, Boston and Greenville, Texas.

A devout Baptist, ministered in many small towns in the panhandle of Texas as well as being a missionary to South Africa for years (1987-1999) with her husband, Haskell Wilson. Retired to Coldpspring in 2000, taught Sunday School at the Coldspring Baptist Church. She married Paul McHenry on December 4, 2010 before moving to Conroe, Texas in 2015. 

She is survived by her husband, Paul McHenry, daughter, Jan Appleton, sons, Mark and Mike Wilson, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of The Singing Women of Texas, and a member of the West Conroe Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Coldspring, Texas. Services will follow starting at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Coldspring, Texas. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, Goodrich, Texas.
