D. C. Hurlbut, age 88 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019.  He was born December 31, 1930 in Houston, Texas to parents D. Barnett Hurlbut and Naomi Louise Fullen Hurlbut who preceded him in death along with his brothers, O.B. Hurlbut and Lesley Hurlbut.

Mr. Hurlbut was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country in the Korean War.  He retired from Cameron Iron Works.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ruth Hurlbut; daughters, Janet Lynn Hopkins and Donna Ruth Bailey; son, Michael Glen Hurlbut; sister, Virginia Faye Hurlbut; grandchildren, Julie Childress and Corey Michael Smith; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Allen and Ava Mae Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Hurlbut; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service is pending.
